At Only

Hey are all you guys having the same issue with 1st gear? Its like I put the pedal to the floor and it has to get 5000 rpm before anything happens? If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.

Before I assume youre completely ignorant to the severe lack of torque:

How long have you owned the car?

Has it always been this unresponsive or did it just now start doing it?

If it just started and its ABNORMALLY unresponsive it may need new coils.

When was the last time you changed the coils, plugs, wires?

What, does it not even move until you hit 5000 RPM? I'd get a doctor to check that ****. "VTEC didn't kick in, yo!"

I've owned the car for about a month. Love the car. The first initial response was always slow. So I'll check on the plugs and wire's and see what happens.

This is normal for the NA AT. The Renesis doesn't pull power until the secondaries open at about 4250 rpm. Then it will pull a lot stronger. If you really want some low end power do some Nitrous like me. Spin the tires off the line.
Check the Dyno chart below.

more == the extra 2 that the 6MT and 6AT have that the 4AT doesn't.

Is there not another option? How about the cobb acc port? I'm trying not to go FI or nitrous.

The AP does help with first gear on the 4AT, most definitely. But that's not its big selling point and you'll need a tuner to work with you.
