Just did a quick run to northern CA over the weekend. 300 miles each way. Had my car a month now...bought 08 (in service of Nov. 08) - 7k miles. When I bought went str8 to dealer for service, oil change, and overall check. Came back clean.

My observations:

1. Handling is superb. Power is pretty good at speed...could use more passing power...but i just drop it into manual and compensate that way.

2. NOISY on the 101 freeway...due to the Durezza Sport Tires - but also I need to BQuiet the entire interior to get it to my liking.

3. Gas mileage averaged 22 at average speed of 85 with tons of hills. Not bad, really.

4. Stereo is weird at speeds....guessing I need the sound deadening to compensate.

5. Enough room for two and luggage. Not enough cup holders. I was thinking of a 370z - glad I didn't due to the lack of space.

6. Rattles everywhere - need to address that as well. I've seen the DIY for this. The suspension is a bit rough over the Los Angeles expansion joints - couple that with the Summer performance tires and every bump sends vibrations thru the car. New tires at end of summer will correct some of this.

Overall really happy.

I will be doing the sound deadening, custom interior (mainly door panels), and a stereo upgrade to full nav with voice activation.

I only had one little long crank after driving about 2 hours when i stopped to get gas...otherwise I'm following all the usual stop/start/ rules.
