Nope^^^^ I am not a female......I say that because the only 2 people I knew that curbed a rim were girls. Sorry. I feel your pain. Was the rim chrome or aftermarket? :D :D

you can do that all you want. But, its a semi busy backroadunusally small backroad.
That people although not illegal to park on the people who live on the corner's park there cars right around the turn. so 3 feet into the road its a firebird and a neon that you need to swerve and avoid as you make that turn so its not really the trucks fault its in the middle, its that ppl just park there cars in the street where (they can) but really shouldnt not.
But seriously G8rboy thanks for genaralizing me I appreciate it.

Sorry, but I say it because most of us made similar mistakes during the first couple years of driving. At your age I drove a RWD car with way to much power for me and did something very similar when I took a corner not expecting a parked car... but unfortunately the part of the curb I hit was a sewer drain opening, cracking the rim, tearing the tire, and slightly bending the frame. I eventually learned to slow down a bit and become much more aware of everything around me. The good thing as you get older and you get more miles under your belt you start anticipating instead of reacting.

Haha. I curbed my rear left wheel and now it's permanently scratched. **** happens, and I prefer to add these blemishes to my list of battle scars, bird poop not included.

I hit a low curb that I completely did not see...took chunks out of both right tires, and scarred the rims slightly. It hit so hard I thought the front end came off...however I bought the tire/wheel extra warranty from dealer for about $500 so they replaced the tires for free. Already made the money back, in 2 months of ownership! No excuse for idiot driving though...

I also opted for the tire and wheel warranty. its only a 4 inch scratch on the rim should i act on it or wait for something bit more drastic

They actually wouldn't replace the rim, even though I expressed concern about them. What they go by, and how they pointed out to me in the brochure, is that if "loss of tire pressure occurs do to inability to seal" between either the tire or the rim, that's what's covered. (Actually, they were about to let me drive out of there with the gouges in my tire, claiming no air was leaking. I could put my finger through the gouged out portion, even though it hadn't breached the inside wall, so air was good. I threw a fit and they finally replaced both tires.) I knew the rim was ok, just scarred slightly.
