Not possible. Either speedo is off or that video was taken on a dyno or something. why the fluctuations in RPMS if it is a top speed run.

you don't think the guy could do a 184 mph run on the street with one hand holding the cam.

Thats a top speed run in 6th gear on a dyno. Kinda destroys the governor myth, huh?

There is also a top speed run in 5th gear that tops out at 156.

Good eye guys. Good attention to detail. That is an example of how dyno's are not exactly accurate and is why if you dyno tune you should pick a dyno and stay with it, otherwise your baselines will be off.

Doesnt have to be a dyno tho..... lol you could always jackup ur car and just rev forever.. tho it is still quite amazing that the car would be able to do that if we lived in a vacum with zero negative friction. mmmmm....
180mph? mmm.....

Dunno why people still think the car has a governer. Way back in the day I had mine on the dyno a couple months after buying it and we did the same and I got it to 175 before I backed off, and posted about it often.
