well I'm in the garage of course tinkering and check the Oil...levels are a bit low so as usual I go to add and...the cap won't come off!

Now last time the cap was turned by me...the dealer may have but I did not get an oil change only winter tires were put on (they check the car over anyhow)

any tricks? has this happen to you before?

I'm going to warm up the car and see if that loosens things up a bit

any help would be greatly appreciated

I've never heard of this happening.

 

Happens all the time to me, I usually have to take a rag so i don't hurt my palm and muscle it off, takes a lot.

 

Warm your car up....it should loosen off. Then watch that you don't tighten it up too tight when it's hot. When it cools down....the oil filler pipe shrinks more than the cap.....making it tighter

Yes I checked these are AxisHiro ..never heard of them in OZ..yes we are a little backward 9100RPM

 

just go into the 'users/cp' area and click on 'messages' you'll find his PM there

 

ok I GOT OFF THE CAP...thanks for the help guys...I warmed up the car then loosened it while it was hot...waited for it to cool down a bit...added some, check it and added again

I managed to land the level right at the line to Max! I've got to do this drunk more often!!!
