I've owned this car for just over a month and have gotten pulled over twice now...

First off let me say that I RARELY every speed. It just seems like anytime I do, I get caught. This time, I was cruising through my small college town at around midnight, when the light turned yellow, so I threw it in second took to about 7kRPM and...Oh Shoot (thats not the exact word I used) there was a cop at the intersection. He pulls up beside me at the next stop, rolls down his window and slowly looks at me and says, "If you can't control your vehicle I suggest you don't drive it." And I of course say, "yes sir." And then he sped off. Whew! Got lucky this time.

I've received teh "evil eye" from police on multiple occasions... it's just something to get used to...

You're lucky. I've never been given a warning by a cop. Hell, I even got a ticket one time when I was involved in a single vehicle accident and wasn't speeding! The ticket was for "failure to control speed." Yeah, no $#!+. If I had been in control of the car, I wouldn't have gotten into the accident. The judge tossed the ticket. Officer d!ckhead knew it was bogus when he wrote it.

In the 18 years I have been driving i have gotten 2 tickets and at least 25 warnings. The two tickets were for driving without my headlights on when I was 18 when cruising, and 75 in a 55 on 101 in CA. MI never knew about the speeding ticket. I've gotten rather lucky.

The last thing I ever do is punch it to make it through a yellow light. I either stop like I should, slam them on if no one is behind me, or just mosey on through. :D
