TX OBD 2 Question

On a ELM327 v1.5 Mini Bluetooth OBD-II OBD2 Auto Diagnostic Adapter Scanner
it says it is for Mazda RX8 (CAN)
Does that include our USA 8s?
or just Canadian?
TIA

CAN = Controller Area Network. An OBD II protocol, no nationality involved.

And I am the genius in my family!
Go figure, maybe I was dropped on my head when I was a baby? Who knows, mama won't tell.

Either way,
Thanks, Ken
Hey, CAN could have been Canadian.

But it would have had to be in both English and French.

I got one of those. It worked for my RX-8 (2010) but not for my S2000 (2005). Note that there is no such thing as an ELM327 v1.5 -- that is a Chinese clone/counterfeit. A real ELM327 should work on an S2000, or any OBD2 vehicle.

Yes, I know that is not the correct name. I left the name out. Got it from China for 7 bucks or so. Is bluetooth ready. Want to use it with my Gphone S3

Of course, that implies that he actually owns an RX-8.

Over the years he's replied to countless threads saying that he's going to do this test, or change those parts on his car, but never once does he actually do any of the work he claims he's going to do. He just posts in another thread that he's going to do the same work he said he was going to do in that earlier thread 6 months ago.

Sometimes I wonder if he's the alter ego of someone like Team, or Charles, just having a wee bit of fun with the forum.

BC.
