Nurburgring time for the rx8?

I've been trying to find this info for a while. Sadly I'm not able to find any information on the timings.

Anyone know the time?

I've never seen an official time but if I had to guess I'd say 8:40-8:45

Wow ... pretty good guess. In GT4 in a stock 8 i ran a 8:43. Even thouugh its a simulator, my guess is in real life with a profesional driver, those numbers might not be to off , maybe a tad lower or higher.

8:35+ would be my guess.

The stock 8 in GT4 has different gear ratio and a higher output spec. Furthermore, the brakes work better than in real life.

FWIW, the Mazdaspeed 3 was clocked at 8:39:66: http://mazdanews.com/node/view/1123

Why is it so hard to find times for an RX-8. Heck even the Ford Escort has times posted

9:05* -- 136.073 km/h -- Ford Focus RS, 215 PS/1355 kg (sport auto 09/05)(*mfr.)

On Nurburgring I think I'd give a little edge to the MS3 over the RX-8. Also, IIRC the ITR did somewhere between 8:40 and 8:45 and I'd say the RX-8 and the ITR would be pretty damn close in times with equal drivers.

You're probably right. The higher horsepower and torque will likely result in higher average speed throughout the course and RX-8's handling likely doesn't have a significant advantage over the MS3 in high speed corners.

I however think the RX-8 will edge out ITR slightly in the Ring though, but who knows.

the ring is 11 miles long. good luck going 11 miles in 1:22 unless you are in a jet.
