Elara, my dealer has a NG which is getting the clear bra treatment next week, so I'm going to go over and check it out in person. Like you, I want to see what it would look like first before committing to it.
Where I live they like to use the el cheapo "spray tar on the road and drop rocks on it" method of road resurfacing. Cheap for the town, expensive for the people who live there (paint chips, broken windshields, tar removal etc.) So, that's why I'm looking into this option.
Gotta agree with you on those fender strakes. Did you see the X-Men 2 car with the strakes in the "hey those are the oil coolers" slot ? Of course that car was missing the fog lights.
Anyway, the strakes will be the first part of my car to arrive. Yeah, I'm building my car one piece at a time, accessories on up ;-)

The Nordic Green is not what I expected. I was thinking it would be more like a forest green. However, it's different than any greens that I've seen, and I kinda like it. :D

Thanks for the pic post Mazdabob! NG looks fantastic. This pic really demontrates the true color since you have several natural "greens" in the background to compare. Also the way the sun is reflecting off the mica in the paint looks awesome! I love how the 8's colors look dark in the twilight and are bright and reflective in the sun (VRed, NG, WBlue, Tit), Mazda did this right! Great choice! - even though not what you expected, I'm sure your deligthed! You must enjoy green cars having has a '91 BRG Miata - possibly the best automotive shade of green of all time. I'm sold on NG!!
I notice you got the splash guards too! I think this is a good move - I was considering them also. Should help the NG look cleaner longer. Now that I see how look as opposed to the aero kit, I think I'm sold on these too.
How can anyone be concerned about dyno #'s and 0-60 times after seeing the visual impact of the car.

Indeed I do like green cars. I've had several. This color is really sparkly in bright sunlight. And it is unique - it is unlike any others that I've seen. Some people have mentioned the RX-7 Montego, but that was bluer. Also, the mudguards blend in nicely - not too obvious.
