My mother and fathers cars have Auto and I always run them in manual mode.

 

Turn fan speed to 3 or 4
Press A/C button
Press Recirculate button
Set temp to coldest.

There. Your climate control is set for hot days.

 

I used to drive an 04 Accord, which had all the goodies, and the Auto Climate Control never meant anything to me. Now I drive an 8 that doesn't have it ... and I am really pissed ...

 

There are other things that could be fixed on the 8 first that annoy me more than lack of auto climate.

 

Yeah... it slightly clicks but there is no switch on the circuit board or encoder board behind it. The clicking comes from a mechanical shaft from the potentiometer.
Like I said before, I'll double check... I'll take both the auto version and manual version controls and compare...
