Thumbs up Newbie: After a lot of time as lurker...some introduction!

Hi all guys!
Ive been reading for some time, and I think its a good moment to share with you some information about myself

Im living in Spain, in Valencia, close to the mediterranuem. Im 40 y.o. and got a 40th ANIV RX8 one year ago...well, 14months ago, to be exact.

It was a car I always wanted to buy, and I was waiting the R3 to be sold in Europe to get one. As you know this never happened, and I decided to get an almost new 40th aniv unit, with only 6K kms (less than 4K miles...if Im not wrong)

I wanted a 4 setter coupe, with good handling skills, and a nice engine. Wanted for daily use, and wanted some character. The rotary engine always liked me, and wanted to try if it could reach high mileage as I use cars a lot. Actually after 14 months the car is 40K miles!...and Im really happy with the car.

The car is awesome. I was thinking about getting a BMW series 3 (335i instead...), or a 1 Series Coupe...or something like these...but I finally gave the Rx8 a chance and I could be happier!

Ive been reading a lot in a very nice spanish rx8 forum. Found there great people with lot of knowledge in this car.

Well...I leave you some pics of the car..

Ive been using Idemitsu motor oil since the first day, and to be honest Im now starting to improve some of the aspects of the car.

Waiting now a sway bar set from Racing Beat, and want to replace the stock rear muffler for a better one...although not sure what to choose. Also interested in the RB springs, as I prefer not to low the car a lot. I use it everyday, with my family...and need to keep some confort.
I will decarb tomorrow ( 40K miles done mostly in open road...), and still with OEM sparks and coils.

ALso replaced the Bridgestone RE040 coming with the car for a Michelin Super Sport. Nice tires, but I miss some of the quick response of the Bridgestone. I will come back to them.

Well guys...thanks for taking the time to go through this introduction. Great site you have! You could stay reading for years!!

Cheers and rotarys!!!

Welcome to the site. While we do have many European owners that visit our site, there is one specifically for the continent www.rotaryheaven.net. You may want to consider visiting both sites.

95% of them done in open road...no city. But def. its "my daily beater"

Its not my only car. I also have a BMW M Coupe that I use for fun, track days...and so o.
