I am very new to the rotary engine. I got this 2004 rx8 16,000 miles Red auto w/4speed which I think it is a GT? if I am not mistaken. I would like to know where to start and learn about this car and prevent any mistakes for the future. I already been advised about the updated starter should I take it back and ask CarMax about this starter problem ?
Also I have been told about getting Black Halo Racing upgraded coil packs? The suspension isnt all that but I can throw some bucks into to it if needed. but first I want to learn how to maintain then upgrade the exhaulst and what ever comes to mind. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

One more thing I would like to install a cool air intake would this void my extended warranty and if not what would you recommend?

 

Just start reading the stickies and the old posts for about a month. This will give you a little orientation about the car. Then you can start thinking about what direction you want to go with the car.
