ON New to upgrades,New to forums

Hey guys I recently bought a 2004 rx8 gt model in vilosity red. Sexy car if I may say so. I have a Cai enroute to my house as we speak, my question is, is there anything i need to know before installing my aem intake? do i need to upgrade my injectors or anything? i am planning to purchase the megan racing full exhaust as well. With these two upgrades do i have to do anything else? a tune? or like i said injectors or anything??

Cheers
Tony

Yes, it's that simple.
The RX8 has a much more advanced engine management system than the RX7 that uses feedback from sensors to adjust settings. Making minor changes to the intake or exhaust doesn't require changes to injectors or ECU reprogramming.
It's a bit long but read this, it's worth your time. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...rx-8-a-233937/

actually, RX-8(so does everything else) uses sensors for operation too. it's just that the ECU is WAY more advance, RX7's ECU used to handle just a few things, like fuel and ignition and that's about it. now it controls everything.

Used to be like 8 bits I think, now it's like how many bits again? well it's been 20-30 years ...
