I'm in the market to pick up a used RX8. After reading some of the stickies, and the one on Engine Replacements.. it seems like 2006+ is the way to go. As the engine mounts, and new PCM flashes fixed majority of the problems.

Am I correct?

Are there any pitfalls to avoid when buying a used RX8 that I should look out for?

I have Zero experience with rotary engines, as I've always been a Honda/Nissan guy.

Any suggestions and pointers will be highly appreciated.

If your engine mounts or PCM are not the current version than a Mazda dealership will fix them both for free...
