Well...

Picked up my RX-8 MT/GT (Sunlight Silver) last night.

I spent all evening last night giving test drives (I live 3 blocks from the office, and had put 200 miles on the car by dinner tonight).

One question (I've searched for it, but dang if there aren't lots of posts with 'M-Flash' in 'em).... How can you tell if your 8 has the M-Flash already? (my build date is 02/04, if that helps).

yeah.. I just bought the same one as you. How do I know if I have M-flash installed.

 

The only way to tell for sure if you have M is to put the machine on the computer in the shop/dealer. The "brake test" will only tell you if you have L or greater.

 

Under the hood, theres a sticker that has the letter M on it...do a search under the tech section to find more about it.

 

There needs to be one thread at the Top of this site to explain the M flash!!!!!!!!!!! This is asked so much. I did a search on this when i purchased two months ago and never had to ask but, there are a LOT of threads to read to get the full answer.
