i been looking at different cars like 350z, evo8, rx8, and s2000 and i like the rx8 a lot.
i was wondering how much did you guys pay for your rx8?

I am a meat popcicle
There are some cons...
- The cup holder isn't very practical when attempting to put a bottle of beer in there and preserve the ability to shift. I suggest the cupholder in the rear for this.
- If you get a yellow one, bees are attracted to it. So are police.
- It's difficult to get the angle of the moonroof right so I can look up into it and see down my wife's blouse.
The pros...
- Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I suppose many other cars would too, but there's just something different about the '8.
- The buzzer. Once you figure out what it sounds like, it's a joy hearing it over and over.
- The handling is way fun. Again, there are better handling cars, but this one's pretty sweet without having to give 10/10ths to see it.
Maint: I haven't paid anything yet. Well, I bought a case of oil. I get free maint from Mazda so I'd say it's pretty cheap.
Problems: I've had none. I took it in for its recalls, and I had the oil pan replaced for the baffle issue on early production models. I don't really consider that a problem since I was never stranded or inconvenienced. I just took the car in when it was time for my free oil change and they took care of the rest.
Hope that helps.

z has tire feathering and rx8 has poor gas mileage and straightline performance. if it's your daily driver i recommend you either go with s2k or g35 now or wait for nissan to fix the feathering. if you don't really care about straightline performance or you don't have a big commute, then get the rx8. there are rumors that 2005 z will have an awd option. that might be worth waiting for.
