Oh I'm loving my 8!!! I got a compliment on it today actually from a complete stranger! That also makes me feel really proud in it! haha The only thing I'm disliking right now is the poor gas mileage since it is my everyday car and I have to drive back and forth to college every morning...I would really like to get another car for my everyday driver and put the Shinka up in the garage for safe keeping and keep the miles low on it. Ever since the rx-8's came out I've been wanting one. It was kind of my dream car haha! They're so darn sexy!

^ yah, the 8's a bit thirsty when it comes to mpg. in experimenting i've noticed that if i (a) shift earlier- ie around 3000 rpm or so and (b) get into high gear as quickly as possible for cruising that seems to help mpg a bit.

but, it's pretty difficult not to drive it hard cuz it seems to crave it.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing...unless I'm late for class then I'm shifting around 5000 rpm. If I'm not in a hurry I'll shift at 3000 or skip shift to a higher gear. My boyfriend taught me how to drive a manuel about two years ago now and I have to say he is a really good teacher!! ..and I'm not bragging on him because he is my boyfriend. He's taught a couple of his other friends.

Thank you for the advise though! I appreciate it a lot!
