new rims wont fit!!! F my life

hey guys i bought some 18" oz supersport gt rims from a friend, the center circle is too small to fit on the center alignment circle on the break disks of the rx8....

is there anything that can be done??? the issue is the wheel does not lay flush against the plate, there is a very small gap....

here are pictures

first is the break disc plate, then the size of the circle on the new rim which is too small and then the gap between the plate and the rim..

any suggestions... sell them or rip the small metal ciricle from the inside of the rim.. haha

There might be hubcentric rings on the rims.

The metal rings should be the hubcentric rings, they should be removable. Try using some elbow grease to remove them.

i thought hubcentric rings were just held in place by pressure... these seem to be factory installed or may be part of the rim, how can i find out?

You don't have to buy new rings for them. The rings are there for cars with smaller hubs.

You are most certainly welcome. Take pictures of the rims and post it. By the way, what's the width and offset on it?

i'd recommend getting hubcentric rings. Hubcentric rings are designed so the wheel is concentric to the hub.
