Well, after a month of lurking I joined the ranks this weekend. Bought an 06 Galaxy Grey Sport. While on vacation a couple of weeks ago my wife and I checked out the local Mazda dealer and to my surprise she really liked the RX8 and said "you should just get one". Found a great deal on the 06 getting about 5k under invoice (with rebates). Bought the car last night...what a blast to drive!!

Now for the bad news. Had to leave town today for work....so can't drive the car. Wife insisted that the car should not be parked at the airport all week (something bad could happen). Later she admitted that the really wanted to be able to drive it this week....I think I'm in trouble! Wonder if I'll ever get to drive the 8 again??

No pics to post yet, but driving home last night was a blast. Hopefully I get to drive it again!

If it was an '07 I'd say let her have the break in period but I'm assuming it has already gone past that so I won't say it.

Welcome to the club! Being that you have been lurking the forums I assume your familiar with the proper breaking in procedures. Be sure to pass this info. to the wife being that she will be the primary driver
