Yes I do. It's an '04 Daytona Blue. Looks exactly like the one in my avatar. My car's stock except for a Nismo front lip, intake and headers. Going with the twin turbos seem to be the trend, I just don't think it's practical right now. How abot you guys, any mods to your 8's?

Welcome. I would have bought a Z if the nearest Nissan dealer wasn't so damn far from where I live. I think it is the best looking car from the side and rear view.

Thanks, RX-8's always catch my eye when I'm driving. I drove one and I was greatly impressed with the interior and handling. No offense meant but it was like driving a faster RSX Type-S with better interior and handling. I also appreciate the welcome. Where do you live moRotorMotor? There's a Nissan, Mazda and Honda dealership that's about five minutes from my house so I was a little lucky. Like most people, I chose between the 350Z, RX-8 and the S2000. I like all three cars and each have their strong and weak points. I've always been a Z-car fan since I was a child so I just had to have a 350Z, especially since I was too young to buy the Z32 TT when they came out.

Well I live on an island called, Newfoundland. It's the province on the far east of Canada. The Nissan dealer is in the capital of Newfoundland, St. John's, and it is roughly 3 hour drive from where I live, Gander. It is a pain in the butt to drive over 6 hours to get an oil change, miss a day of work, and at least one tank of gas. Not to mention my town, for some reason, have the highest gas prices in Canada.

No offense taken by the way. The reason I picked this car was because I do a lot of country road driving, along the coast and it has a milder suspension than the S2000 and 350Z so it was easier on my chronic back problem. My friend owns an S2000 and we both think the 350Z is one kick-*** sports car.

I'm a big Z fan. It came down to the Z and the 8. In the end, the 4 seats made up my mind for me. Beautiful car. Whenever I'm out I tend to park next to the Z at the very end of the parking lot. We gotta stick together!

I've been a Z fan since one of my old girlfrieds had a 280Z, A LONG time ago! That was a really fun car to drive. I also love the 350Z, however i have 2 kids and the 8 was much more practical for me. Welcome.

I wouldn't mind if I had all three, maybe even an STi and Evo. I'm saving for the GT-R that's coming out in a couple of years though. We'll finally get the Skyline! Anyone heard actual facts about it? This is something that I stumbled upon, I'm uncertain of its accuracy though:

"Yet another page in the next GT-R development unfolds...

a) Nissan are well aware of the popularity of the GT-R outside of Japan, and are looking to make the next GT-R well and truly stand out more than previous incarnations. The "World Market GT-R" as it were... just by translating the article from Holiday Auto, you can feel that the next GT-R has truly broken away from the "old" R-series GT-Rs... (I can hear the crying and monitor bashing from here!)

B) Porsche 911 Turbo is going down... in fact, it seems Nissan are already claiming victory (???)... such is their confidence after the Nurburgring tests. Aparently, the first test failed because some driveline hardware was faulty, but the subsequent 2 tests were successful enough for Nissan to make final descisions on the driveline: 3.2L V6 Twin electric-assisted Turbo, FR-L platform (Primary Front engine/Rear wheel drive transaxel, motor-assisted front wheel drive or "e-4WD") with Getrag 7-speed sequential gearbox.

After much deliberation about 3.0, 3.5 and even 4.1L capacities for the VQ engine, they've decided on 3.2. The thing to bear in mind here is the Porsche 911 Turbo... it seems Nissan may want to defeat Porsche with less capacity...

Expected final power output: 480ps @ 7,200rpm, 58.0kg/m @ 5,200rpm.

c) Other specs of note are the "semi-wet sump" (as opposed to the dry sump originally quoted) and the aluminium spaceframe, steel cabin and bulk usage of carbon throughout.
