New and Happy

Hi there everyone. After 7 years of owning and absolutely loving my 1990 Nissan 300ZX, 2 kids and a demanding job have left me without the time to give her the attention that she deserved. So, after a long hard search I found an RX-8. Never driven one, never owned one..in fact, never even read much about them but I am very happy that I did.

It is NOT my Z...everyone here knows that feeling...the car that was part of your childhood that you were able to actually own...

BUT

I am very very happy with my choice of this RX-8. Going to be spending a lot of time reading and learning about the rotary engine since I have never owned one and I can tell already that this is going to be a very deep and very love affair with this car.

I'm happy to be here and to be part of what appears to be as loyal and enthusiastic community as the Z forums were.

Curt

I too went from Z to an 8, wise choice. There are a lot of similiarities in driver feel, etc.

It is an 04, black with black and red leather interior. Looks showroom since the previous owner (I am the second owner) was meticulous about keeping it up. 102,000 miles, but the engine was replaced at 96,000 (that was done locally and shows up on the car fax report)

I will do my best to get pics up soon...

And as I sit here at work, I am jonesing to go drive it!

I have already been looking up some things....like changing out the stock dvd nav system with a more friendly multimedia option as well as reading the wealth of information that is on here about owning a RX-8.

Thanks for the very warm welcome!!!!

If the Z was a 4-seater...then that should have been my choice before. Anyway, load some pics of the 8.
