I have a quick question that i couldn't find in a search.

when i press the lock button the parking lights flash.

when i press the unlock button the parking lights flash twice.

this is normal. but as of this afternoon no lights flash.

did i do something, like hold down a button too long or press something i shouldn't have? now the lock and unlock button still work just as they are supposed to except the lights don't flash so i have to press the button twice to see if it worked and i hate waking up my next door neighbor or her 6 year old trying to lock my car in the driveway after my strange work hours.

this tiny thing is now a huge pain in the ***. please a little help. i have read the manual and it doesn't say anything about it.

EDIT: SEARCHED AGAIN AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM. TRUNK. ha ha ha

 

Make sure the trunk lid is closed all the way.

Or if it is closed all the way the sensor(switch) is not sensing it's closed.

 

It was latched just not all the way. I went out and pushed on it and heard a click. Then the buttons worked like normal.
