You will have to go through a VERY LONG and HARD process.. But seriously. You'll probably get screwed. Bummer What exactly is damaged? |
ya unless you got some pics to prove otherwise..
|
You lent the keys to someone didn't you.:icon_no2:
|
its almost impossible to prove the dealership did it.
unless you inspect it personally upon delivery, but who would do that on a car thats 6 miles ? |
if you're telling the truth and really are you might be able to make the dealership feel bad enough into admitting fault. I mean I know I'd be passionate about it if they truly had sold me a vehicle with damage.
More then likely you will have to live and learn. Next time do a much more thorough inspection of the vehicle.. |
wow that sucks; people these days :icon_no2:

sometimes it may be at the receiving docks.... that's not dealership. I know it happens. The receiving yards are trying to squeeze in more cars in a limited amount of space. Cars are driven off by minimum wage workers. You think you got that brand spanking Cayman S huh? That mint SL... mmkay. There is an established minimum acceptable damage agreement. But frame damage would be a write off though. Which sounds like yours is. So it's weird that its being resold unless Mazda didn't know.
Then again, BMW is reselling some of its cars off half-sunken boat. |
The ONLY way you will get the dealer to pay up is to file a small claims suit against them and at $2-3K they will probably pay up rather than it cost them more to fight it.
Get lots of pics and look for corrosion and other things. Anything that can prove the damage is older, and not fresh. |

Always inspect the car, even if it literally just rolled off the assembly line because when you sign that piece of paper, everything is now your fault, regardless of if it really is or not. :eyetwitch |
^agreed....my car was pretty new when i bought it but i still inspected that thing every square inch.....
|
That sucks. Who looks under a car when they buy it brand new.

To the OP, I would def talk to the Sales and Service Manager..I'd even go as far as talking to the GM. You never know what type of resolution you'll get by trying the proactive approach.
|
and be NICE!
i know your upset. but being pissy will do you no favors. you have to be nice, because it will be them who decides and pays for the $3k for the damages. and if they pay, you better go there for every oil change and warranty work until your warranty runs out. |
yeah i agree being nice and not going off teh handle will prob get u farther...but i have a short temper so it would b hard for me to do that...but when it come s to 2-3k worth of repairs i probably could

or expect might be a better word. you expect a new car to have no damage. |
Still trying to get resolved, parked car. Thanks for the small claims tip. Will try and post pictures.
