Hey everyone,

I'm a 20 year old college student from Illinois and I just purchased a 2007 Mazda Rx-8 Galaxy Gray w/ the Performance Package today as my first car. I got it for $12,000 and it only has 37k miles. I brought it to a Mazda dealership before I bought it and had an inspection + compression test done and everything seemed to be in mint condition.

I also bought the AuxMod by Sylfex so I will be patiently waiting until that comes.

I've been thinking about adding Fender Strakes. What do you guys think about these on the Galaxy Gray?

Welcome to the club! Rather than strakes, might I recommend a set of clear corners instead?

 

Thanks for the suggestion, I've been weighing out the options and I think I do like the clear corners a lot better than the strakes. Thanks again! I'm going to search eBay and buy some ASAP.

Just bought JDM Clear corners! Not too sure which bulbs to go with though... My front lights are Xenon. Anybody have suggestions on what would match those?

 

You might want to grab some amber vLEDs. I had blues in mine for about a year and one evening a state trooper pulled me over and nabbed me for them.

I did the "oh man, i'm sorry... I just put these in yesterday" story and he was nice enough to let me off with a warning... but then I'm a 41 year old old-fart.
