Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the Rotary world. I just got my RX-8 a week ago, and I was told by the dealer and few friends that breaking in the Rotary engine is different than Piston engine.

Are there differences? If so, what are the best ways to break in a new Rotary engine properly?

RTFM. Its all in the manual. Check your glove compartment, and sit down and read.

The dealer will usually tell you that no such break in period is neccessary. The manual says however not to push the engine to hard before the first 600 miles, It gets more specific in their, you should probably check it out.
I waited 600 on my 8, and it runs fine.
