Question need rx-8 help

i just recently got my 2004 rx-8 and i need a little help, i have never known too much about cars, but would like to learn how to get my car a little more up to speed if you know what i mean, i heard that what you can do with rx-8s is kinda limitied because it has a rotary engine... is it true? and about how much would it cost me to speed it up a little lol

Its limited because the OEM setup is not that bad to begin with. If you have the time to do research adding a Turbo or SC will provide the biggest gains. Pick specific topics and search the forum, this car has not really changed much since 2004 so if you can think about it, there is a thread on it. Knowing you budget will also help weed out costly options. For example if you only have $3,000 forget about a turbo / sc. +

Learn about car before making it teh fastAr.

And after you've learned up on your car, go to a local autocross event and learn how to drive your car. In stock form the RX-8 is fast enough for most drivers, people just need to learn how to drive it fast. It's a driver's car and it takes a good driver to truly appreciate that.

Perhaps you should have researched before you bought.

Quoted for truth. This is not the car for you if you want to show off dyno sheets or impress and street racer friends. This is a driver's car, not so much a tuner car.
