I recently backed into an f'ing SUV and put a nasty crack in my rear bumper (nothing happened to the SUV of course). It's actually more of a rip in the bumper -- really nasty.

Anyway, I'd like to get a replacement bumper and maybe replace it myself. So I have two questions:

1) Anyone have recommendations for places to get good prices on a replacement bumper? I don't want to spend extra for the Mazdaspeed version, just a replacement will do.

2) How easy/hard is it to replace the bumper myself and is it illadvisable to do so?

the mazdaspeed version only replaces the bottom half of your bumper, so if your bumper is damaged, you likely need to replace it anyway.

 

Im not sure about the RX-8 EXACTLY.....but bumpers in general are easy to install.
You should be able to handle it yourself
