If you fly me out there, I will bring someone who could do it.... Joking
Anyway, why wont they do it? Emmisions issues? If thats the case, you will need to know how to swap them right? So when its time to test the car, you wont fail.

Dude, it's so easy...theres no reason for any help at all.

Grab a jack and some jackstands, jack up the car at the recommended jacking locations (owners manual), set up the jackstands, crawl under the car with a ratchet and sockets in hand, and plenty of PB BLASTER or WD40 (I reccomend PB BLASTER, it is God in a bottle). Soak down the nuts with the lubricant, let it sit for like 10 minutes, and then have at it.

Easy as pie..this is probably the easiest thing to do on the car (and one of the only mods which DOESN'T require removing the front bumper :-P)

A lot of shops in CA (and all states) have to log the work they perform, for billing, emissions use, etc.

CA, being the most strict state in the US when it comes to emissions, almost ALL shops will say "no" to removing any emissions equipment from the car. They run the risk of being sued, loosing their license to own a shop, thousands in fines from the state and federal government, etc.

When it comes to stuff like this, you do it yourself, or have a friend do it for you. No shops.

And seriously, I don't know the size of the nuts on the cat, but you can go to a hardware store, buy a ratchet (POS quality, $5-10), and a set of sockets (10mm-20mm, POS, $20-25), and then do it yourself. Whoa, $35 spent?! You'd spend more than that at the shop.

don't call the shop officially, go over and talk to the employees and get one to do it for you after work.

Hehe. I do that when I can. If an expensive car pulls up next to me at a stop light, like most reciently a Viper, I put my car in the big N and rev like I'm gonna win. But since I have to bring my revs down to put the car in gear, I never bother going anywhere. The car next to me always zoooooms off like he was trying, and more then once have they recieved a ticket passing a cop at night, while I wait for my RPMs to go back down.

Instead of hating, why don't you actually let the people who are willing to help just help him. Damn its called an aftermarket part because some people want to change their original parts a-holes, who cares what he does it for. On this car everything that has to do with the exhaust system is just for noice and looks...whether or not you have a manual
