Mine was a 36' power boat with a 13' beam (wide). Twin Chrysler big block 440 engines. It would do 30+ knots, but got less than a mile per gal.

I got the boat for around $60K. It was 20 yrs old. Boats don't deteriorate on the G Lakes like they do on the ocean. No salt. They are also considered a 2nd home, so you can get a mortgage on them and deduct the interest paid on your income taxes. On the Lakes, you can still go out and not see land anywhere.
You still have slip fees that have to be paid. They very depending on the amenities provided by the marina. Mine was $10K/yr. Fiberglass gets waterlogged so the boats really need to come out of the water every once in a while to dry out and have the bottoms cleaned/painted. In the ocean, you have barnacles to deal with.

They depreciate like cars. Mine was 20 yrs old so almost all the depreciation was gone. I sold it for almost what I paid for it.

Not sure if this would be of any interest, but I just stumbled across an article about how CT is ranked 4th for overall health.
Here's all the states:

Good Morning Ocho, Fuz, RWD, RI, phren, Tiff & Feras.
phren, when I wreck my motorcycle, I broke my collar bone. I don't remember any pain. Just allot of discomfort. It could have been they were medicating me through my IV too.

Chick & RWD, I used to have a 20 XT setup for a few years. With it you got to see the fish swim up and down. Others had a level that they would prefer to stay at in the tank. I presently have a 30+ sitting empty. I need a new filter before I fill it up and start with fish again.

I bought myself a gift too. Nothing quite as sexy as tickets. An over-the-range microwave oven. My 30yr old one was starting to die. It would just quit in the middle of cooking something. I have to remove a cabinet & range hood (done), run new wiring (in progress), remount the cabinet and install the mw oven.
At the rate I do projects, this will be completed in January.
