hello well i m going to buy RX8 with a week or so and as time is getting closer ... my concerns are raising well searching this forum and

googling it for more then a month i got some of my answers cleared and more are raising and trust me i m in serious love with this car...i got Options like 2004 BMW 318i Sedan / Rx8 and i only like Rx8 well i m going to get an auto trans car not the manual

because of so many reasons right now i have 2 options in car

2003 Grey 4Speed Auto / Sunroof swapped with 1JZ engine
2006 Dark red 6Speed / Sunroof Auto Stock engine

well in my country i don't have not even 1 mechanic for ratory and i my country it only has cons no pros and mostly people used it stock for a

while and when the engine dies they simply swap with other engine and 1jz is the most common swapped engine here well i m not a racer boy but

ofcourse DRIFTER :D so big engine is not a concen of mine so i m thinking to swap with 7A-FE{ 1800CC maybe it came with 1997 celica } engine

because i m going to use it as my daily driver car not like just for racing and stuff and want to swap with 7A-FE to 2006 auto and as i came to

know that if this engine is in healty condition it can give approx 12KM/L [Approx 40 to 44 MPG ] so does this engine support 6

speed auto or i have to see another one or i have to go with 4speed auto well i have a friend who is using this engine with white RX8 and

converted it to manual well i dont want to do maual or use manual so please help me out if this engine is good then awesome or please suggest me

any good one which support 6speed auto ...... don't want to make cheesy type just want some decent Mods.. my thoughts so far what i going to do

Pros

For me ???? Nothing :D

Cons

burn to much Fuel
i can only use high octane with it and where i can get it is approx 70KM far from my house normal one is 6KM
the one and only serivce station for offical rotary is 1600KM means its on another city which i m 100% sure i will never visit
Way to Much Care....yes i read all the things about care and trust me i can take care but my brother or my friends won't




if you have any other thoughts please do let me know and please help me out with this situation and yes fuel is my concern and as you can see my main problem is relate with engine

I see you are in Pakastan A few members from there recently. You guys are quite good with your swaps.

A) No, you can not expect 12km / L fuel economy, 8-9km / L is your best reasonable bet.

B) 4 speed auto vs 6 speed is different in the transmission, ECU, and any transmission electronic modules. If you swap the electronics with the transmission, you should be able to get the 6 speed working

C) Yeah, the engine is an even bigger drawback for you than it is for us in the US. It's very understandable why people over there do swaps on them pretty quickly. If you REALLY wanted to stick with the Renesis engine, it's going to cost you quite a bit and will probably be quite a pain point for you. Going with one of those swaps is probably a better option.

A) well i will show you some cars that are using 7A-FE and getting 12km/l in city route 16 to 18km/l at highway even 2 days back i got my hands on 2003 white RX8 which is using 7A-FE and trust me i got 10km/l with high throttle this dude convert it auto to manual

B) you means that if i get my hands on 7A-FE with transmission i can hookup with RX8 and i can get 6-Auto ???

I might have my mileage conversions messed up. 12km/L is about 28mpg I think. The best you can expect with everything healthy is about 24mpg, which I THINK is about 10.2km / L. In general, especially if you like to have fun with it, the best you should expect is about 20mpg, which I think is about 8.5 KM/L. If you have lots of fun, then it will drop even farther.

If you get a 7A-FE and transmission, you will need another ECU anyway, so yeah I don't see why you shouldn't be able to get a 6 speed auto. I don't know my Toyota engines or transmissions though, and I have no idea what ECU you would be using to run them. You can't use the RX-8 ECU if you swap the engine. Totally different control than what a piston engine will need.

means if i get toyota engine i can only use toyota ECU or any ECU which control piston engine right?

well i came to know that Land Cruiser / Trunda [5.7] / Camry [2.4] use 6 Speed auto ...... so does their ECU will Fit??
