have you ever tried to get into someone else's 8?

Today I was at a local mall picking up lunch for work and i tried to get into a 2005 grey 8. I soon realized after walking up to it that "hey, I have the accord today, my cars at home dead".

I barely see any RX8s around me, let alone same color/year

Has anyone else done this before?

my DD is a silver jetta, there are 3 others on my block, so it happens all the time. it bugs me, in owning rotaries for 20 years i've never had that happen.

Never seen another 40th anniversary before in person. so no.

back in 2004, my brother clicked the "unlock" button on his civic's keys and it unlocked another black civic just like his, he got inside and everything, then realized it wasnt his car.

In 1996 I bought a new Chrysler T&C minivan. A couple of years later, I got an invitation to go to the local Six Flags for the evening. At the end of the night, coming out of the park, I'm viewing a sea of Chrysler minivans in the parking lot. I pulled out my remote and hit the panic button. Mine was the only to have the alarm go off.

From what I've gathered, mine might be the only [known] black R3 in the Metro Phoenix area. I know of other R3's but they're either blue or red and I've never seen them in person.

It's rare enough for me to see an S2 RX-8 around here (twice in the past year), so if I see a black R3 around me and I happen to attempt to unlock it, I'd say it's understandable.

I did this once with the wifes 07 Acadia. Then realized the License plate wasn't our's. However it had all the same characters in it!
Never had an issue with the 8. Nobody near me drives a Yellow.

I have seen exactly 3 different 8's in town - funny because there is one literally in the next parking lot over >_> same color too, except automatic, no spoiler, etc. I also saw a super gorgeous blue one, probably a 07 or 08 from it's condition, and then a black one. Outside of those, I haven't seen hardly any - ever.

That's like saying painting your stock rims means your car isn't stock anymore.
It's still the original part on the car, you just ruined it.

monchie, give it up man. For how long will you fight people on this forum defending the hack job you did lowering your car? Yes, the car is low(er). Yes, it rides 'ok' - at least to you. But no, you didn't do it the right way

Back on the subject, it is very unlikely I'll ever come across another 40th AE in this area. So I'm not to worry about trying to get into the wrong one!!

I won't argue with you, but i'm just trying to tell them that both of my cars still runs and drives okay for almost 2 years now with no problems so far...thats it.
