Hi my nav system isnt working.....it opens on its own but doesen turn on? There is no map cd in the dvd rom cud that be why the nav wont even turn on? The screen does not power on at alll

 

Does the navi screen act funny, like open fully then angle back down, or does it open all the way and stay there. I would check mine but my engine is out, about nt havinng the disc inserted. i think mine still came on with the disc, and then said no disc.

 

ya the tilt button dont work the open does....also when u turn the car off it only goes half way down for some reason but nothing will even go on the screen at all

You have no dvd ? Yeah you have to have one for it to work but I got a dvd map & mine still didnt work. This is where mazda : fail

 

It sometimes skips teeth in the gears, I think u will probably have to take it apart to fix it.
