I have had a miata and became an enthusiast of mazda for a while. My miata was mostly cosmetic. I had aero lights and amemiya (I can never spell it right) kit on it. I also had a some cheap but nice looking 17inch tenzo's, full red interior.and it was slammed. it was stolen and stripped. I didnt get much from it, but I went ahead and bought an rx8 from a family friend who buys cars all the time. I got the auto and I love it. I just want a little more info on a rotary and a little more speed. Im going to go for the same look I had with the miata. white with red inside. Im new to rotary but I saw a great diagram on howstuffworks.com and hopefully you guys can help. and yes Im a newbie.

welcome, i thought you said your miata was heavily modifyed, but i guess it was just a body kit and lights.

it had alot of engine work but no turbo.(I forgot mention that) interior custom and outside was custom painted.Its was a 96.

 

Honestly, and this is going to sound mean...

You cannot make an auto rx8 faster. You can do exhaust, intake and you wont notice it.

You're stuck with the straight line speed you have. Now if you bought a base AT you sure as hell can make it handle better with some upgraded suspension.
