Tipped?! Don't they ask for it? Here in my country (especially Athens) they charge at least 5euros($6+) for parking at night clubs. I thought in LA it'd be even more expensive!

parking is hella expensive in LA
lets say you get to the club late and there are no parking spots? in the hottest club areas in LA (for example sunset) there is ZERO street parking. the parking lots typcially charge 20bucks for parking. and if you're super late and there only only a handfull of spots left? i was once charged 40bucks for a stupid spot. but the car behind me (2nd to last spot) got hit for 50, and the car behind her for 60. we paid but i was ******* pissed! i had no choice really since there isn't free parking for 2+ miles or so and i'll be damned if i have to walk uphill for 5 blocks all dressed up - they'll jack me/car for sure.
if you're lucky enough to get club/bar parking by the valets there you typically pay about 10-20 and its right there, so the parking is limited to the creme de la creme. if they let you park there, you'd better be tipping AT LEAST 20 bucks. my pimp friend tips 100bucks to everyone. when he shows up at the clubs the car gets detailed while he dances. and if he wants to hop to another club, the promoters/owners get a limo for him to take him there and back. thats what money does for you in this city.
at the old clubs i used to go to when i was just a kid used to be free parking or like 5bucks and i thought that the 5 bucks were a rip off. you get what you pay for though. i dont have to worry about getting my car jacked or messed with, the security is way better, and the drinks dont get served in plastic cups.

Sorry if this question is irrelevant, just to chat, how much is the fee at the club entrance in LA? here its 15euros ($18) can get 20 at saturday night

 

regular clubs vary on cover charges usually 10-20bucks. the more upscale clubs/bars do not have a cover charge, but you need to be on the list or rich, cuz they expect you to pay alot once you're inside.

oh, and yeah, hollywood cops are dicks. those beverly hills ****** are even worse.

Fun story. Clearly one of the upsides of the 8 still being pretty uncommon on the roads. The valet guys prolly have no idea how little it costs.
