Ae86 rebuild, ALOT of pictures

I would like to show you my project. I really wanted to buy a light RWD vehicle to use it for drifting/racing, i choose Toyota AE86. I started with rebuild almost a year ago and i came almost to the end.
The car Was in a bad condition because ther are only 10-15 AE86 in croatia, and i had opportunity to buy this one, and i didnt hesitate.

I hope one day i put 13b inside

Wow, I commend your hard work. You took it from a hunk of crap to something that turned out pretty nice. Best of luck, keep us updated with future upgrades.

Wow, great job! That must be a real labor of love.

When my wife was in college she had a white 86. She was my gf at the time and I had a blast whipping around in that little car. I recall thinking to myself that the cheap little Toyota handled really well. What I didn't know then was that the AE86 would one day become the cult car that it is today in the drifting scene.

My 13 yr old son really likes the Japanese anime "Initial D", so I get a kick out of showing him pics of mom in Takumi's 86. By strange coincedence, my car during that time was an FC RX-7 and then later an FD RX-7. (This was years before Initial D was ever made.) So our boy also gets to see pics of dad in Ryosuke's & Keisuke's cars. But he likes the 86 the best and always asks why we didn't keep mom's car.

Great job on turning a tired, rusted-out old cummuter car into a mean looking drift machine. That looks like an incredible amount of work for one person. Did you have help from friends, tuner shops or a body shop. Aside from the paint, I guess you could do that all on your own but it would take a ton of focus and determination. I can't even wash my whole car without taking a break to drink a beer or watch the end of a baseball game. Great job dude!

What's next?

Wow, nice work! That inspires me to go work a little harder on the project car I have sitting in my front yard.

Very nice. That color and those wheels look perfect on the car. I'd say that $5500 was well spent for all the work you've done.
