My gas gauge is a mexican jumping bean!!
I have an issue. And I was wondering if anyone else experiences the same... It may be due to the fact the I am always watching my gas comsumption as i drive. sometimes i feel like i can almost watch it move as i drive because of how quickly this thing uses gas.... ( for me it has been a steady 13-15 mpg )... BUT back to the story... My tank will fluctuate at a moments notice by like 1/8th a tank.. does anyone else gas tank jump up and down while driving????

does anyone know FOR A FACT... that you get better gas mileage / better performance with dsc/tsc turned off.

The gas gauge, as well as the temperature gauge, move in distinct increments. The discrete steps are small (about a division or so). You can notice this on the temperature gauge as the car is warming up. While sitting at a stop light, in your driveway or parking lot, carefully watch the temp. It will step its way up to normal, not move slowly and steadily.
The gas gauge does the same. So, you can look down one minute and note the reading, and a mile later it may have moved (and then will stay there for a while). When you are on the cusp of the next step in the gauge, you may notice it go between the two steps a few times before settling. This can also be affected by the terrain and your driving style. The gas tank in the 8 is actually a split tank, half under each rear seat. Extreme cornering for example can unequalize the levels in each tank which can effect the gauge momentarily.

The first 1/4 tank goes very fast for me, I'll go about 50 miles, and then it slows down. Half way I am about at 120, and 190-200 when I get to 1/4 left. Since the M-flash its usually at 200 for the last 1/4 tank. It's kind of frustrating because it never seems to move at the same rate, sometimes I think i'm going to get great gas mileage and then all of a sudden it drops 2 notches in 10 miles.
