UK my engine mounts are faulty???

My question is on engine mounts is it the rubber that makes the engine vibrate I recently took them off due to my dealer said it needed to be replaced both sides I was thinking i could superglue down the rubber but i'm thinking it could set of a fire or something I dont really want to pay out £310 on a pair of new ones. what do you suggest????????

you can't just super glue it. the rubber breaks down from the heat of your exhaust manifold. they have updated them with new rubber. you just need the manifold side one. the other side should be fine. they will just say to get both even though you don't need both.

Sick run-on sentence.

Just replace the one thats broken, the TSB shows you how, you dont need a cherry picker either. Just jack the engine up from underneath.

I've been seeing both of them broken on high mileage cars.
