White 8

about 2 months ago i bought an 05 white 8 and on the title it said shinka.. me not completely knowing the full details of a shinka just assumed that it was, reading through all this i realized that it probably is not

i dont think shinkas come in white...is the interior white....if its a true shinka itll say shinka on the b-pillars and the wheels should be polished.........also a stiffer suspension....you could just have some of the shika options

06 shinkas came in black(like mine), white, galaxy gray, and copper red

Try to keep this in perspective. Yes, it was wrong for the dealer to misrepresent the car as a Shinka—and charge you a premium for it. But at the end of the day, whether it's a Shinka or not really isn't a big deal. It's just a "nice" trim package. I have an '05 Shinka and I really like it 'cause of the cool color and the light interior (I personally find the all-black interior dark and depressing). But the Shinka is still just a cosmetic trim package. Aside from the "foam-filled" suspension parts (whatever the hell they do), the Shinka is just like other RX-8s. Not really all that special.

mine doesnt have the shinka b-pillars or the cream white seats but it does have the silver side panels on center console.. i guess all in all i got shinka'd

I bet since it says Shinka on the title, you have leverage to go after the dealership. I would definitely try if I were you.

Yup! you got Shinka'd! lol Unfortunately there are a lot of folks that are playing the SHINKA game. YOU on the other hand might have a case for getting some money back, or a loan reduced. Since you bought an 05, they were available in only ONE exterior color, and that was Black Cherry ,a dark purple. Definitely not white, so I'd be sitting my butt down at the dealer and making a case for either a refund, all your service for free, something. Its a misrepresentation, and since all SHINKA's are listed by VIN number its not an easy "mistake" to make with todays technology.
