My baby has gotten loose!!
Is there any way to tighten her back up??
I drove another member's car over the weekend and it felt alot tighter than mine.. shifting and clutching. I only have 10k miles on my car.

I'm just talking about the clutch and shifter.

Why do so many people have cats as avatars?
Oh, ummm...the topic...what do you mean by "loose" when you refer to your clutch and shifter? Do the shifter and clutch jiggle?

I started a topic on the cat avatar thing it's called Cats Cats Cats, and i finally succumbed.. in Ok. Ok. I give up.
By Loose, i mean it takes less effort to push the clutch pedal, or move the shifter. They dont feel firm. THey feel sloppy.

You need to elaborate much better for people to understand you.
I dont know exactly what you mean, but ill explain about what i think you mean.
When the car gets older (5k+) it should be broken in.
The shifter should feel a little smoother.
The clutch feel shouldnt really change unless it is starting to slip.
please elaborate.

Why bother asking about the cats... I want to know what is up with the watermellon hats...
There have been a couple of posts lately about people not being able to get into a certain gear and whatnot. Some of the posts have even commented that gear boxes were replaced. Possible tranny problem???
I had heard a rumor that the tranny came out of the Miata... I have no idea if that is the case or not. If it is perhaps mazda made a boo-boo when they adapted it to the rotary...
Or... how do you drive your car? Do you drive like a sane person or do you rev it to 7k and pop the clutch? My sister tore up a clutch in a car in under 20k miles because she did not know how to drive stick very well... I am not commenting on your driving, just asking a question.

I'm one of those posters; my 6th gear is currently MIA. And my car has about ~150 miles on it...even *IF* I was driving like a wildman, how much damage can you do in that time (and I'm shifting at ~3k RPM, trying to baby my new RX8.)
