RWD cars are awesome!

You can slide/spin through ANY turn even on DRY pavement!

you must have a base model without DSC or you had it off. The DSC would have kicked on before you could have come even close to a 360. Leave you DSC on in the rain

on the left hand side of the steering wheel, right above the little change drawer, should be right next to the dash light dimmer thingy

on the left side of the steering wheel next to the switch to adjust the brightness of the dash light. It will say DSC OFF, but if you have a base model then you dont have it

Thread title promising . . . holding my place with an IBTL . . . off to read it now

brb

EDIT: Wow. With all the recent drama somehow this gets the kid gloves? A kinder, gentler 8 club, eh?

Yeah, take it easy in the rain. The stock tires have loads of grip on warm dry pavement, but on a wet road you need to be really careful. All cars have less traction on wet pavement, but the stock tires on the 8 seem particularly bad about it.

i almost crashed btw..my friend droving 350z saw me and it was hella scary..

and now everytime im make a left/right turn..doubts in my head about what happened to me
That sounds REALLY scary, I probably would have soiled my pants. Sounds like there is something very wrong with your 8, you should sell it imediately because it will be way too costly to fix!

I had my 8 for a week and slid off a wet road, cost about $600 to get everything right again. I still have a teeeeny bit of that fear of wet corners. After having the car for five months now and having a feel for it and some more info, my best theory is (1) noob driver took it a little too fast, not knowing the 8's reputation on wet roads; but a definite (2) I swear there had to be something slick on the road because the weird way I slid kinda fishtaily, feeling like black ice... it makes me crazy trying to figure it out, but I'm definitely doing the practice runs and a road course as soon as my Blizzaks come off. The next time I slide, I want it to be on purpose.
