my 8 spin in u turn section?

hmmmm..

i was planning to make a U turn in a traffic light section but i noticed that there's no sign saying you can make a U turn, but as a far as i knoe that you can still do it so i made a u-turn and it was raining..by the time i made a u-turn my 8 spin..360 i guess..i dont really knoe what happened to my 8 and i dont even remember if i hit the gas too much or is it just my 8 had a problem??

i almost crashed btw..my friend droving 350z saw me and it was hella scary..

and now everytime im make a left/right turn..doubts in my head about what happened to me

LMFAO! his 8 had a problem! HA!

easy on the gas, just cus we have low torque doesnt mean you have to STOMP on the gas in the rain

-also go get some practice time of sliding in the rain, that way if this ever happens again you will know how to react, it will just be instinct.

Take it as a lesson learned, you're now a more careful driver from it

probably oil on the road surface because of the rain- unless you have no tread on your tires?

http://www.newscientist.com/article/...ad-deaths.html

whats funny is we have all know that forever but this guy is credited with "finding the link " in 2003

Yup, that's exactly what rear wheel drive cars do. You can even do that on dry pavement. Good clean fun until you stuff your rear end into a curb.

Sounds like you were driving with a defective wing nut (yourself). Go easy on the gas and it won't happen.

I've always maintained that the 8 has more then enough power to get you into trouble in short order. I'm glad you escaped without damage.

A lot of people seem to think you can drive the same in the rain as you can on dry pavement. It just doesn't work that way. You have much less grip. You need to drive more conservatively because you can hit a puddle and hydroplane pretty easily. I nearly had my back end come out from behind me driving to lunch the other day. Luckily, I wasn't pushing the car hard at all, so I was on my way with little more then the uncomfortable feeling of my rear tires moving sideways for a moment, followed by the flash of my traction control light.

Never drive in the rain on bald tires. Recipe for disaster. Always leave a greater stopping distance then you would in dry weather, and don't try and make that corner at 30. Your 8 says you can do it. The laws of physics say otherwise.

You shouldn't be scared of the rain, you should welcome it

Fun times...

Always scary when a friend sees you screw up. They'll never let you forget it. Eventually you'll have nightmares about gatherings where he'll fill the conversation with "Let me tell you about the time..."

You should be scared.

yes how much tread is left on your tires- here do this

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=51

or get one of these

http://www.amazon.com/Milton-S448-Tr.../dp/B0002STSQM

and report back to us with how much tire you have left.

of course you could also just go to a tire shop and have them check it.

Rofl, reminds me of about a month after I got my 8. Was reading up on the interwebs about "how to drift".. Found a good corner with no traffic and clear visibility, went at it at about 40 km/h in 2nd gear, hit the clutch got the revs up turned the wheel and DURR, oh, you need to COUNTERSTEER? Chirpppp did a 180, car stalled out about 2 inches from the curb, perfectly parallel to it.. I was scared at the time, but now that I think back about how stupid I was, I laugh every time.. :D

I'm with the practice rain driving. Just like snow. Gotta be careful, but you should also know how to react. Go into a huge empty parking lot next time it rains and just have fun in first gear. Learn how the car reacts, what happens when you add or subtract throttle in those situations and you should be good.
