My 8 gets better mileage than my Explorer, and identical mileage to my ex's Forester. It's more fun than both cars put together.

I'm happy with it.

Is the tank in the Series II bigger? Cause I get around 260 miles per tank and I drive mostly city. I fill it up and then drive til my gas light comes on, and then repeat.

I did read somewhere here that one of the changes involved a larger gas-tank capacity, 2 additional gallons I think .

they must have accidentally put a S1 tank in my car if thats the truth. I have yet to get more than 235 full to light and i do 75% travelling on the HW

What's your avg. speed. That plays a pretty big role in hwy mpgs.

Series-1: 15.9 gallons
Series-2: 16.9 gallons
