MN Missing Credit Card Key for 2006 RX8

I have both credit card style remotes for my 2006 RX8, but one of the "emergency" keys disappeared. Both of the remotes work as does the remaining key. Is there an easy way to replace the missing "emergency".

After reading several posts & numerous web-sites I am more confused than ever. A visit to 2 dealerships added to the confusion as got a different story from each.

All I need to do is replace the missing emergency key on one of the remotes.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

PS-I love this car.

You can get the valet key made seperately for like 100 or something. It'll cost 300+ to get a whole new key.

I just brought my other emergency key to the parts department at the dealer, and he sold and cut a new key for me while I waited.

I bought my 2006 Shinka used
Had only one Credit card remote with a key in it.
Is that what you are calling emergency key?

Bought a used CC remote with used cut key on Ebay for about 30 bux

Took cut key to my local TrueValue Hardware store
Told them to re cut the used key with my key, ie the one in my cc remote

He looked and me like I was crazy
cut a cut key?
I said ...what can I lose?
It does not work as it is.
So he re cuts my used key
I take it outside to try it out and
Boom it works, it opens the car

NOW just to program the bought on ebay cc remote
Since I am not in a rush for that
Will wait till I visit a buddy that works at a mazda dealer upstate, ie dallas

Cost to cut key
ONE BUCK
Cost of cc remote...30 bucks
Wonder how much to program the cc remote..not paying retail

Since cost to cut a key was only one dollar
I had 3 more keys cut
He used blanks that Truevalue has.
All 3 work, ie open the car and turn the ignition

Reason I had the used bought on ebay key is that the key
fits in the CC remote, ie smartkey

The 3 keys i had cut, ie made work on the car but do not really fit in the cc remote, cause the "head" is metal, not black plastic like the normal cc remote key.
