In the regional RX8 forum I answered up in the San Diego 8s thread.
I am E-4. I have been in the Navy 2 1/2 years, have been stationed in 5 states across the US, and currently in the middle of my 2nd deployment.
The RX8 was my first vehicle. I put down $3000 and a $28,000 5.65% 72 month check and have been quite happy ever since on 2005 black/red 6spd. Although I have been hit twice so far in San Diego, and have numerous door dings and scratches from mysterious parking lot incidents. I will have to take care of those once I return to homeport. I anticipate spending another $1000 for a 4 camera video surveillance system w/ impact and intrusion sensors.
People assume I can just keep paying the $200 deductible for each little door ding. Yeah right.

Absolutely. You have to put up with the deployments so I would count that as military also.

CPL(E-4), United States Marine Corps. I was starting to worry I was the only crazy one here. Will post up a pic of my ride when I get home from iraq (LEAVING TODAY - ONE YEAR DONE WOOOOO!!!!) Sorry, couldn't hold that one in. job - 2844 radio tech BUT I work in billeting right now giving everyone rooms and such, I consider it a glorified landlord that doesn't collect rent money.

Unbalanced & Unmedicated
Bought mine in Oct 2003 as a pre-retirement present. Next month I'll say good- bye to the Navy after 20 years of service. Gotta find another job soon because I still have 16 more payments left on the car. . .!
