might trade my wrx for a rx8..need help ..tanks
I will say, the RX-8 has its share of quirks in the cold weather. My car is one big bucket of rattles when its cold, yet on warm days the car is completely quiet.
My passenger side electric door lock has stopped working again for the second time after a week of warm weather and a sudden dip into the single digits.
The engine does not love the cold... ECU lowers the fuel cutoff point to around 4.5k when cold and the transmission sticks like molasses but with a manual car already I'm sure you're used to that.
I just hate driving my 8 when it's cold out, it's really not a pleasant experience... the rattles, faulty electronics, blegghh...

^ definitely more rattles & creaks, but that the same with any car in the cold. The electronics sounds like an issue specific to your 8 (sorry, that sucks) rather than an issue for all 8s.
The 8 is awesome in cold weather otherwise. Nature's CAI rocks!!!

Wow Zerotide...you need to move to a warmer climate!! I don't hardly ever drive mine when it's cold...but when I do, it doesn't really seem to behave any differently than when it's warm out. I don't really push it though, becuase of the sand on the roads & snow tires
Hey if I could get out of Nebraska now I would... just tryin to finish up college so I can get the hell out. My 8 is my DD so I get to experience all of its quirks on a daily basis
