Racing Beat. Looks much nicer and has a much more distinct sound. You don't really hear about too many people with the Mazdaspeed because you're paying a ton of money for an exhaust with very little to offer as far as both sound and looks go.

Do a youtube search to get a better idea of what you're paying for and choose for yourself.

The only reason I choose Mazdaspeed 'cause its tested and its lighter than other brands.

Racing beat is also reliable, albeit its heavier than stock. And our cars need all the weight saving it needs since it cant get much hp lol

My choices was between the RB and Greddy SP2. RB won for me and I never looked back. Sounds amazing when its up to temp and you step on it.

Im throwing borla in there because no one out tunes borla. They have an entire corporation devoted to tuning exhaust systems. for 950 dollars you get the mid pipe through the tips.

just a thought. Don't buy an exhaust just because its cheap. Its a very key component in the drive system. Not enough or to much back pressure can burn out engine components. You need to look at an exhaust based on its tuning properties.

I like the one that I actually took the time to do some research and was the best overall fit for me and what I wanted out of it. ....that turned out to be RB.

I accomplished this simple yet apparently daunting task by searching, reading, and then hearing some different exhausts in person from some locals.

I didn't just throw up some random post asking as I figured it would have been covered about a million and one times.........silly me.

I'm thinking to get an exhaust too.

But thinking which one to get. Mazdaspeed, rb, knight sports or fujita.

I might have an opportunity to speak with knightsports race team next month. Then I will decide

Ear of the beholder item.

Mazdaspeed is higher pitched and a bit "ricey." They've had some weld reliability issues.

Racing Beat is a deeper richer tone with excellent craftsmanship.

Borla is also lower fuller bass tone and excellent quality, but I don't like their pipe routing.

RB for me, but again ear of the beholder.

Opinions, opinions. You don't always get what you pay for. I have seen a Mazdaspeed fall apart at the welds in south Texas where weather is a non issue. Meanwhile I have seen a custom $300.00 setup run for years without issue. I have installed the $500.00 Turbo XS midpipe/catback combo and it fit great, had great welds, and sounded awesome. Would a $3,000.00 Amuse exhaust fit better and make more power? Doubt it. I ran a stock exhaust with magnflow tips welded on for a couple of years and I always got compliments about it.

That said, the Borla and the RB sound great. The Mazdaspeed is okay but the tips are too small for my taste.

Seems like a lot of people like RB. I will order mine come spring time. Can anyone try to describe the sound. I've heard youttube vids but its not the same. I'm looking for a crisp subtle sound nott too loud but louder than stock. I wish someone in my area had one so I can hear it in person but sadly I don't think anyone has a rb exhaust around here

I guess to each his own. The RB is okay but honestly the Borla sound is better and I like the tips better. But this one pwns all.
