Do the Mazdaspeed brake pads only come in blue? Also what is the approximate normal lifespan on the stock brakes for the rx8 as a daily driver? Thanks.

 

i don't know about the color question. i don't see a place to specify color, so i would assume that it does in fact only come in blue.

as for lifespan, that all depends on how you drive. i was at ~50% lifespan at 27k miles, so assuming i use the brakes at the same rate, they would last until ~54k miles...i theory. Do track days or auto-x, and they will get used up quicker. ride your brakes, and they'll get used up quicker. how you drive will affect the rate you use your brakes at. but i would guess 50-70k miles...give or take 10k.

i'm planning on doing a few auto-x events this year, and maybe a track day, so i'll probably end up replacing mine in ~10k miles (or about 40k total miles on the car).
