Mazda Rx-8 vs Saturn Ion RedLine SDrs vs SDrs!
Mazda Rx-8 vs Saturn Ion RedLine Sucide Doors vs Sucide Doors!!! Which is better and overall the Ion turbo has a 0-60 6.0 seconds and 15.6 Quarter mile time, 0.85 300ft skidpad and 67.2 mph lane change. Sounds comparable Until you notice the BRAKES!!! 70-0 164ft, wow!! And the plastic cheap interior and crazy dashboard with all the gauges are to the right or left in (Europe) of the driver, except the tachometer!!!
RX-8 wins again hands down, Looks and Feel and BRAKES!!! What your take?

why would you ever compare a FWD Saturn to an RX-8?
On a side note, my roommate had a Saturn Ion Coupe with a 100 shot of Nitrous. That thing was fasssssst for a crappy GM 4-banger. The look on people’s faces when he hit the purge at a stoplight was priceless.

I know somebody autox the redline, and he said GM underrated the hp. They dyno just as much at the wheel as GM claim at the crank. Ouch.
And my neighbor's truck has suicide doors too, I wonder which one's better...they both drink gas and RWD, so it should be fair.

Granted it has all the liabilites of a FWD car with a lot of power, that said it gets great mpg and scoots along pretty good. Heck its not even that bad in the twisties. I'm not sure which is uglier though, the ss or the ion.

Also, from personal experience, the ss supercharged dead stock will pretty much cook an rx8 in a straight line, but no surprise there, nor do I care.

If it was that great, they wouldn't be dumping the name and car and bringing over the Astra.

I guess it depends on what your definition of essentially the same is.

I wanna judge both cars in a giant octagon demolition derby status. How do we fair then?
