How much boost? If you've not done much to the tune and boost, you're likely running 240 whp right now.

Damn the car looks like a viper with the vents in the hood and wide fenders, very mean. I'm guessing you're running under 10 psi to lose to a stock 997S?

How big are your wheels?

I bet those are slowing you down big time.

It's like 0.6 bar. I am thinking to have a HKS F-Con V pro for my Rx-8. What do you think?

get MazdaManiac's turbo upgrade and Mazsport's ignition upgrade so you can push 350 whp or more.

Actually I am quite disappointed the rx8. The car is fast before 100km but not as fast as my stock evo 9 and sti 204s. I thought the Turbo rx8 would be faster than them.

One more thing, my car keeps on BACK FIRE, really annoying.

MM (mazdamaniac) said that if a turbo kit is already in your car, his upgrade will fit too. basically, you are swapping a few pieces in. replacing them for better pieces.

the int-x will fit any rx8 afaik. you can contact scott at mazsport at www.mazsport.net for further info about it.

he's got an Asian model RX-8. Right hand drive cars aren't identical to the left hand drive cars. I would recommend contacting Mazsort and MM directly. It might help if you can send photos of the turbo location too, in case it's got different things in the area...

some already asked MM about it. i remember reading the same question to him a week ago or so. he said if you have a turbo already installed, it fits. because its replacing pieces.

but yeah, i'd always contact the seller with questions beforehand. lol.

Lightbulb

Are all the 997 Carrera's 4S? If so whats the 4S do and mean?

Price
$77,100 & $87,100 Production
--
Engine
3.6 & 3.8 liter Flat-6 Weight
--
Aspiration
natural Torque
--
HP
325 & 355 hp HP/Weight
--
HP/Liter
90.2 & 93.4 hp per liter 1/4 mile
--
0-60 mph
4.9 & 4.6 seconds Top Speed
174 mph & 179 mph
So 3.6 or 3.8 liter Flat 6 @ 325-355hp VS 1.3 liter at 250hp the race looked good till 3rd.

Now I found this car used for $45K with 60K miles. Wonder whats the up keep on them VS the 8.
