Mazda RX-8 owners manual

does anyone know where I can get a copy of the owners manual from? I have to work out what one of the warning lights means, its not on now but the guy I purchased it from said it had come on from time to time but couldnt remember what it looked like.

He figured it was low coolant light and just topped it up.

Hi Neil.

Where are you located?

Please update your location in the UserCP - it helps to answer your question:

If you are in the USA, you can go to the Owner's section of Mazdausa.com

Or, there is a 2004 Owner's Manual here: http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/pdf/...004_owners.pdf

Good luck.

Thanks, ive updated that now.

Actually shortly after making the post my mate who sold it me found the manual and confirmed it was the low coolant light.

He also made a new finding for me, he explained that the light comes on and goes off and hes never actually had to top up the coolant, this is a releif!

He found a common fault that exists with the water sensor which means it gives off false results, it was a post on another site, can anyone else confirm this? He noted from the post it was on motorway journeys which is something he observed himself.

Thanks for the location!

Yes, there seems to be an issue with the coolant level sensor in the expansion tank. You could search this site, as there are numerous threads.

Mazda only sells the tank/sensor as a unit, and I haven't heard of a repair, other than disconnecting the sensor.

Again, welcome to the madness - I hope you enjoy your car.
